Tartarus sprang to life a few years back now, and was one of those breweries that developed a name for itself instantly. “A nano brewery that specialises in strong and European styles of beer” is what they say – and it’s on the money. Fun fact: Tartarus is named after the dark and gloomy part of the realm of Hades, which mythology suggests was reserved for the damned and the wicked. With the beers Tartarus produce, you have to admit that’s apt.
